East of England Hyperbaric UnitOur FacilityThe Therapy Provider currently responsible for the provision of the Hyperbaric Services at James Paget University Hospital is the James Paget University Hospital NHS Trust. LHWHC currently owns the chamber and provides all the technical hyperbaric service to the trust The British Hyperbaric Association Category 1 Hyperbaric Facility at James Paget University Hospital is run in a Private-Public-Partnership arrangement between James Paget University Hospital NHS-Trust and London Hyperbaric and Wound Healing Centres Ltd., which has been providing Hyperbaric oxygen services to the NHS since 2001. Clinical responsibility for the facility is in the hands of NHS-physicians and nursing staff employed directly by the Trust. The Unit's Medical Director is a full-time NHS-Consultant in Anaesthetics and Hyperbaric Medicine. The Hyperbaric facility is located within the main hospital building and has direct access to all the support services of a large District General Hospital
Construction and installation of the new hyperbaric Therapy Chamber. The order for a brand new 8 patient Clinical Hyperbaric Therapy Chamber was placed with the German Manufacturer Haux Life Support GmbH on the 2nd June 2007.
