SPUMS

South Pacific Underwater Medical Society

To promote and facilitate information and research on all aspects of underwater and hyperbaric medicine. To provide information on underwater medicine to all interested groups. This includes diving organisations, industry, the military, as well as, the individual diver. To promote exchange of information between members on all aspects of underwater medicine and related subjects and to publish a quarterly Journal. To convene members annually at a Scientific Conference.

Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society(UHMS)
A primary source of information for diving and hyperbaric medicine physiology worldwide.

The UK Sport Diving Medical Committee advises the British Sub-Aqua Club , Sub-Aqua Association and Scottish Sub-Aqua Club on diving medicine issues, including assessment of fitness to dive. This is conducted through a national network of medical referees with accredited diving medicine expertise, using a uniform set of medical standards which are continually reviewed as new research is published.

Emergency First Response is the fastest-growing international CPR, AED and first aid training organization. Emergency First Response is backed by 36 years of experience in the development and delivery of instructional courses, training materials and educational curricula. Emergency First Response courses have gained widespread international acceptance.

Focused on training the lay rescuer, the Emergency First Response approach to training builds confidence in lay rescuers and increases their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency by teaching them the skills they need in a non-stressful learning environment. Participants are also given as much practice as necessary to master and retain these skills.
